Virtual Engineering Conference for Shock, Vibration, Acoustics, Fatigue, Jan 20, 2024

We will meet via Zoom on January 20, 2024 from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM US Central Time. Attendees may “come and go.” The link is given below.

This will be a good opportunity for university students to present their research. Professional engineers can also pass on their knowledge. Unlike most conferences, presenters will be allowed to “soft sell” their own consulting and teaching businesses as long as they give some technical substance. Okay to give a presentation from a previous conference.

Also, the meetings are free. Please let know if you would like to be a presenter or attendee via the form below.

We have several presentations so far. I will also give presentations for the remaining time slots.

7:00 AM  Balija Upendra, Beams-driven structures for piezoelectric energy harvesting/sensor and piezoelectric actuator

8:00 AM Victor Mukungunugwa, 3-axis Structural Failure Detection using Machine learning and Deep Learning

9:00 AM Bilal Mokrani, Active Vibration Isolation with Positive Position Feedback

9:30 AM Haiqi Wen, Integrating Near Field and Far Field Microphone Measurements with Acoustic Wedges for Eliminating Floor Reflection

10:00 AM S P R Rao, Detection and localization of fatigue induced transverse crack in rotor shaft

12:00 Noon  Ahmed Mohammed, Footfall-Induced Vibration in Building Floors

2:30 PM Steve Doyle, pyNastran Overview & Tutorial

3:00 PM Safiullah Timorian, Dual Frequency Vibration Absorber

4:00 PM Mohammad Amin Shams, Aircraft-Pilot-Coupling: Parametric Study Using Multibody Dynamics Modelling of Pilot Biodynamics, Pilot Seat, and Inceptor
