This is a work-in-progress…
Run compiled Matlab applications or components without installing Matlab.
Download and install the Windows version of the MATLAB Runtime for R2024a from the following link on the MathWorks website: https://www.mathworks.com/products/compiler/mcr/index.html (right mouse click, open link in new tab)
Next, download vibrationdata_sa_3_6_26.zip ver 12.5 (right mouse click, save link as)
Then extract and run vibrationdata_App.exe
Please be patient when running this program. It may take 2 or 3 minutes to start up!
The package includes:
Fourier Transform, FFT & Waterfall FFT
Power Spectra Density
Power Transmissibility
SDOF System Response to Applied Force & Base Excitation
Miles Equation
Shock Response Spectrum
Vibration Response Spectrum
Rainflow Cycling Counting
Fatigue Damage Spectrum
Sound Pressure Level
Digital Filtering
Auto & Cross-correlation
Signal Editing Utilities
ISO Generic VC, 2631, 10816 & Velocity Spectrum dB
Beam & Plate Vibration
Strouhal Number & Vortex Frequency
and more
The Fatigue Damage Spectrum also has a function for deriving a Power Spectral Density to envelop non-stationary accelerometer data
Please send me an Email if you are going to use this package.
Thank you,
Tom Irvine

Dear Mr Irvine, I read your post on LinkedIn to download a new version of the vibratiodata toolbox. You have sent a link the present website. How Can I download vibrationdata_alt.exe version 1.8, please ? Ils there a specific link ?
Thanks for your answer ans open source work !!!!!
Regards, Laurent Brun from France.
The instructions are given at: https://vibrationdata.wordpress.com/2022/09/28/vibrationdata-matlab-stand-alone-executable-gui-package/
Go to: https://www.mathworks.com/products/compiler/matlab-runtime.html
Download: Release (MATLAB Runtime Version#) R2022a (9.12)
Next, download the installer for vibrationdata_alt.exe version 1.8

Hi, Tom!
It seems like a big confusion about the versions of installer here: When my IT support guys tried with the installation of the ver.1.8 the installer returned them that they installed ver.3.1, (I used the link to the ver.1.8 you sent in the reply to Laurent)?!
Actually, I need a tool which generates synthesized wavelet signal and exports it to NASTRAN TABLED1 format for the transient analysis. From your tutorial presentation design_for_shock_verB.pptx, (slide 66), I found that I should use script vibrationdata_wavelet_synth.m ver.1.4 (or newer?) which generates requested format for NASTRAN. Could you please advise? Thx a lot in advance!

Download the newest package which is version 3.2. I added a Nastran output to the wavelet synthesis.
Thank you
Hi Tom,
I am trying to install the standalone version but I have 2023a installed on my machine and it’s looking for 2022a 9.12. Is there a workaround for this please?
Since you have 2023a on your PC, then install this version instead: vibrationdata_App package version 4.2 https://vibrationdata.wordpress.com/2013/05/29/vibrationdata-matlab-signal-analysis-package/
Hi Tom, are you willing to update the standalone app for those of us who don’t have Matlab? Thank you very much.
I am getting an error stating that: “vibrationdata_alt.zip cannot be downloaded safely”
It is safe to download despite the warning message. I wrote the software myself. – Tom Irvine
Thank you very much for the updated version Tom!
Is there any plan to support Linux? Afaik, the exe file is native on Windows only.
Have you tried this method? https://www.wikihow.com/Can-Linux-Run-Exe
Hello Tom,
In our company, we only have two Matlab licenses. When +6 colleagues are going to join the course, would we expect restrictions on using Matlab or would your vibrationApp cover this?
Thanks
You may also use the stand-alone executable version at: https://vibrationdata.wordpress.com/2022/09/28/vibrationdata-matlab-stand-alone-executable-gui-package/ This version does not require a Matlab license.
